	The State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA) provides safe, low interest fixed-rate mortgages, closing cost assistance and other programs specifically designed to help low- and moderate-income families become homeowners. If you want to get a SONYMA mortgage, click here. The Housing Finance Agency (HFA) and the Affordable Housing Corporation (AHC) offer financing to for-profit and not-for-profit developers to encourage the construction and preservation of affordable housing in communities across New York State. SONYMA also offers mortgage insurance to lenders of multifamily housing.
